San Francisco Giants

Working with The Floating Company and The Sibbett Group, Scientific Art Studio designed and created a variety of features for the Coca-Cola Fan Lot at Oracle Park (then called AT&T Park). Most notable of these is the world's largest baseball glove – a replica of a vintage four-fingered glove from the 1920s.

The original glove was digitally scanned and enlarged to 20 times life size. Inside the glove is a carefully engineered steel structure that supports the sculpted resin glove.

Scientific Art Studio produced models, sketches, renderings, mock-ups, and engineering drawings, as well as the final installed pieces for this one-of-a-kind project.

After the Giants’ three World Series runs and the subsequent media exposure, the humongous glove behind the AT&T Park bleachers might be the sports world’s best-known sculpture of an object.
